Toolbox Projects - Help students create a toolbox with regulation tools for practice and reference. The flipbook is assembled with construction paper, each page cut 1/2" longer than the last to create tabs. The worksheet is a simple and quick reference sheet. Brainstorm ideas for classroom friendly tools to help students when they need to regulate difficult emotions. These could include things to use in the classroom, at recess, or outside the classroom if a break is needed.

B is For Breathe (Read Aloud - 4:52) Alphabet picture book with a different calming activity for each letter of the alphabet.
The 5-4-3-2-1 Method: A Grounding Exercise (Calming Technique - 4:28) Description and examples of how to use this sensory based calming technique. The first three minutes is the description. The last minute and a half is time for you to do the exercise on your own.
