Flipping Your Lid (Video Lesson - 11:57) This video goes over the emotional and thinking parts of your brain using the hand model (good review of our Fight, Flight, and Freeze lesson!), flipping your lid (another way of talking about triggers), and tools to help manage those big feelings.
Some Days I Flip My Lid (Read Aloud - 12:39) "Flipping Your Lid" is just another way of referring to your big emotions resulting from Triggers. This book talks about different reactions when a student Flips his Lid because of the Fight, Flight, or Freeze reactions and ends with ideas to take control using mindful breathing.
